3.5 Final Video Presentation

Final Gastro-Cultural Video Project:
This video will be the culmination of the students learning throughout the course:
Student will create an individual video production about a chosen gastronomic or cultural element of Spanish gastronomy following with these characteristics:

a.Duration: 8-10 minutes

b.Content: The content of the video will include the following sections, related to all the content covered in class:

1.      Introduction: Justify the student’s topic selection
2.     Stereotypes: Discuss the stereotypes related with the topic
3.       Historical context: Mention the cultural and historical influences on the subject
4.       Regional characteristics and varieties: Regional variations of the topic
5.       Restaurants: Where this dish or product can be found.
6.       Music: What music style can be linked to the subject. Choose a Spanish song for the video.
7.       Media: TV shows or movies that we can connect with the topic.
8.       Art: Explain and justify the artistic representations that you associate with the topic.
9.       Festivities: Discuss the possible relation between the topic and traditional Spanish festivals
10.   Mediterranean lifestyle: Comment on the role of the chosen element in the Mediterranean lifestyle
11.   Conclusion: Highlight the most outstanding insights from the video project


c. Rubrics:
The evaluation of the final project will be based on:
a.       Completion and duration 25%
b.      Adequacy and content 25%
c.       Original pictures used 25%
d.      Preparation and originality of the video 25%
